The humidity sensor, located near the return air from cellar, will automatically turn on the humidifier whenever the cellar humidity is below the set point and turn it off when the cellar humidity reaches the set point. When the air passes through the wet-film pad, it absorbs moisture through evaporation of the water, this raises the humidity of the air taking into the cellar.
